Important 2011 Summer Rendezvous News!!!

THE LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED. The date remains July 29-31.

Our previously published location for the July Rendezvous is NOT going to be available to NYSOGA, due to heavy construction at Wakely Dam. I apologize for any inconvenience due to this change. A Board of Directors meeting takes place during Rendezvous. The majority of Directors feel the best available location for our Rendezvous is on the property of our member and friend Don Hawkins and his wife, our friend, Janice. This is a great piece of property with views, trails, wildlife, and a fishing pond. The property is suitable for tents and campers, without electricity. Don's address is 279 Grange Hall Road, Kirkwood, NY. Please join us (and bring your family, friends and aspiring guides!) for the camaraderie of Rendezvous and Saturday's pot-luck dinner and campfire. Sheila Young, Summer Rendezvous Chairperson

NYSOGA members are invited to attend the summer camping Rendezvous to be held the weekend of July 30 - August 1. It will be at the Cedar River camping area near Indian Lake. This gathering of guides and their families is more informal than the March Rendezvous, no reservations are needed; just show up with your camping gear, food, etc. and be ready for some great fellowship in a beautiful surrounding. Traditionally, a joint feed is held on Saturday night with participants supplying the grub. NYSOGA's board of directors will meet on Sunday morning. More information will be in the summer issue of Guidelines.
